[MCPE-11783] Redstone dust on top of (or below) a redstone block will not power the blocks immediately adjacent to the dust unless those blocks contain more redstone dust

                <project id="10200" key="MCPE">Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)</project>

I was trying to make the BUD tnt in MCPE and I found something weird.
When I updated the tnt, it did not blow up. I then made the redstone dust on the redstone block point towards the tnt. It STILL didn't blow up. Then I connected a lever to the redstone dust and turned it on even though the redstone appeared to be 'powered'. The tnt then blew up.

                            <comment id="268178" author="rplatham" created="Wed, 25 Nov 2015 17:54:15 +0100"  >
Confirmed on Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Android 5.0.1 MCPE 0.13.0.

Redstone dust that is on top of a block fails to power blocks that are immediately adjacent to the dust. However, connecting that redstone dust to more redstone dust works as expected.

Redstone blocks appear to power blocks and dust correctly in all directions.

Example steps to reproduce in a new creative flat world:

Place a block of redstone in a 1 block hole in the grass

Place a lamp on top, it lights as expected.

Remove the lamp.

Place a lamp on top of a grass block adjacent to the redstone block. The lamp does not light up, as expected.

Place redstone dust on top of the redstone block connecting to the lamp, the redstone dust appears as a cross and powers up as expected but the lamp does not power up (I expected it would, this is the bug). See image named step4.

Remove the lamp.

Place redstone dust connecting to the redstone dust on top of the redstone block. It powers as expected.

Place a lamp connecting to the most recently placed redstone dust, the lamp lights up (as expected but strange considering the bug!). See image named step8.

Notes: you can replace the lamp used in the example with tnt, powered rails, or other things and get the same results. I tested all 4 directions around the dust on top of the redstone block and get the same results.

Update: redstone dust below the redstone block suffers the same problems. In the image titled "screenshot_..." you can see (from left to right) redstone dust powered below a redstone block that is failing to power the TNT immediately beside the redstone, (ii) 2 redstone dust powered below a redstone block powering a powered rail, (iii) an unpowered powered rail for reference.
</comment>
