[MCPE-11634] Quartz pillar batch crafting issues

                <project id="10200" key="MCPE">Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)</project>

When crafting quartz pillars, the game doesn't stack up the items.
If I craft my first two quartz pillars, the game takes two quartz blocks and gives me two quartz pillars as usual. But when I try to craft two more quartz pillars, the game takes the two quartz blocks but doesn't give me two extra pillars. I still have just two quartz pillars in my inventory from the previous crafting. Somehow the game doesn't stack up quartz pillars. When I place the pillars and than again craft some more, the game again gives me two the first time and after that it doesn't give any more.

Steps to reproduce:

Craft quartz pillars

Craft another set of quartz pillars
By now the game took 4 blocks of quartz, but you still have 2 pillars in your inventory.

EDIT:
This seems to be a Samsung Galaxy S5 problem only. It still exists in the 0.13.1 release.

                            <comment id="297834" author="knight1969" created="Thu, 31 Mar 2016 22:05:27 +0200"  >
I did a small test with a RCA tablet. I was able to at least partially reproduce the first issue you mentioned - being able to craft two quartz pillars and then not being able to craft more, as well as being able to craft fifteen pillars. Both situations might be related to the MATTIS system and that the Quartz pillar can be used as an ingredient for producing quartz pillars.

If the quartz pillar ends up in an inventory slot higher and to the left of the other quartz blocks the MATTIS system will use the pillars to craft pillars.

The same thing happens with both versions of smooth sandstone.
</comment>
                            <comment id="278858" author="themote" created="Tue, 19 Jan 2016 22:29:58 +0100"  >
I have encountered the same thing, also on a Samsung Galaxy S5 but under MCPE 0.13.1 alpha.

Clarification: I initially tried this with a world originally created under MCPE < 0.12.x with the results mentioned in the OP.

When I create a new world in 0.13.1, still on the Samsung Galaxy S5 I was able to convert more quartz blocks to quartz pillars. Oddly, it allowed me to convert 15 quartz blocks into 15 quartz pillar blocks. The expected behavior was to produce 14 quartz pillar blocks, display the not enough materials message and leave me with 14 quartz pillar blocks and 1 quartz block.
</comment>
