                    <description>&lt;p&gt;Often players are shown as the standard &quot;steve&quot; skin. I believe this is due to frequent outages with skins.minecraft.net.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Can something be done to fix the fragility of the skin system.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

I&apos;m reporting that it&apos;s a bug that the service is frequently down, and that the client doesn&apos;t handle the outage gracefully.
