[MC-9629] /difficulty resets after reloading the map!

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

In singleplayer, after using the /difficulty command and reloading the world, the map difficulty resets to the difficulty selected in your menu.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or just a (missing) feature, however, it should definitely be fixed as it makes the /difficulty command completely useless. I think it would be nice if the game saved it as a map specific difficulty which would always be used for that map.

<del>MC-888</del> says that the difficulty doesn't change the default difficulty, however, changing the default difficulty in the menu still does NOT prevent the map difficulty from resetting because the player can just change it back in the menu or enter another map with a different difficulty to reset it.

Please change <del>MC-888</del> or re-open this :/
Thanks
</comment>
