Make it ride a mob, the bottom mob can spawn with the giant on top, so make the giant spawn on a firework or something like that! The firework will explode and the giant falls down!
</comment>
                            <comment id="54280" author="pokechu22" created="Sun, 17 Mar 2013 00:35:47 +0100"  >
Almost. I think that the resolution should be wont fix, since the exact way that the spawner tries to spawn is a bug. Oh, and I have included 2 schematics that actually can spawn giants. They work by spawning a mounted zombie, and it checks the light level. With the first, it will drop a zombie when the giant is killed, and with the second, the zombie has 0 health and despawns instantly. (Either when the giant dies or when it spawns, im not sure.) These spawners should be satisfactory, I hope.
</comment>
                            <comment id="53109" author="dieval" created="Thu, 14 Mar 2013 18:24:44 +0100"  >
If @William Pearson is right, than mob spawners shouldn't spawn them, because mob spawners respect light levels. So Resolution should be changed to "Works As Intended"
</comment>
                            <comment id="45432" author="f85" created="Tue, 12 Feb 2013 19:11:18 +0100"  >
Yes, but it's better with spawner :'(
</comment>
                            <comment id="45075" author="pokechu22" created="Sun, 10 Feb 2013 21:40:45 +0100"  >
I have a scematic on the wiki: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/File:Giant_scematic.zip
This can be imported with mcedit if you want to derp about with giants. I think this should solve the problem of needing a giant.
</comment>
                            <comment id="45054" author="bugi74" created="Sun, 10 Feb 2013 19:44:48 +0100"  >
Their code still exists in the code base, yes, but that does not mean the feature exist or is supported. The fact that you need to use external programs to "hack" them in should tell a lot. Or needing downloaded custom maps (which have been "hacked" by others to have them giants or whatever unofficially supported feature) should tell the same.

In essence, the remains of the feature giants still exist in the game, but they are not supported. And fixing bugs would be support.
</comment>
                            <comment id="45051" author="pokechu22" created="Sun, 10 Feb 2013 19:29:34 +0100"  >
They do exist in game, they just don't spawn. The code responsible for their spawning has the light level need to be less than 7 but also GREATER THAN 8. Therefore, they will never spawn, no mater where. The game may still try to spawn them, but the light is always wrong. You CAN use nbtedit to convert one mob to a giant, but you cant make a spawner.
</comment>

                            <comment id="45043" author="f85" created="Sun, 10 Feb 2013 18:36:45 +0100"  >
Giant is accessible by editing. (Zombie changed with nbt editor to Giant)
</comment>
                            <comment id="45041" author="pokechu22" created="Sun, 10 Feb 2013 18:33:26 +0100"  >
It may not be accessible, but would bugs with locked chests or giants still be bugs? I think it can ocour in vanilla without any mods active, even if you need custom map downloads to access it, it is a bug. Giants can still be found in game in a way, their source code still exists, and if you have a map with a entityGiant, then it will exist.
</comment>
                            <comment id="45010" author="banana478" created="Sun, 10 Feb 2013 15:26:35 +0100"  >
This site is for bug reports only. Feature and improvement suggestions are not currently being tracked here. (Thanks, Markku)
</comment>
                            <comment id="44996" author="bugi74" created="Sun, 10 Feb 2013 12:18:27 +0100"  >
You might search minecraft wiki for 'giant'... http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Giant
They are removed/unobtainable.

Also, if you need to use other software than minecraft itself for getting some feature, it is obviously not supported officially.

If the above is not mistaken, there are two reasons to resolve this as 'invalid'.
</comment>
