[MC-9353] Compatibility issue with Windows 8 upgrades and minecraft

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

The spawn points move after you die with windows 8 after you upgrade your system. This is documented into a video but it is not ready for release. Could mojang team please add /setspawn or /sethome to prevent players from losing their home after they die?

I had to delete all of my files and saved my world with a portable hard drive and then put the world back on the harddrive after I installed windows 8. I have no freaking idea where my home is now and totally lost in the game because this is not where I spawned originally.

All I know is it reset after I upgraded the OS to windows 8. I do not know if anyone else is having it. All I know is I am having the problem.
</comment>

Do you mean to say that, after you upgraded, your character's spawnpoint is reset upon death? Also, on another note, feature requests should be posted on the MC forums and not here.
</comment>
