Trying to work on a CoD:Zombies styled map, much like Sethbling's TF2 and Smash Bros ones.
Found out that you can't set the spawnpoint of a player using relative coordinates. Which I think is strange if we can use relative coordinates for teleports.

The game will say that spawnpoint was set even in an obstructed location. Execute @p works fine.
</comment>

If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
</comment>

And your system above would cause unnecessary jittering for the player
</comment>
                            <comment id="43275" author="unon1100" created="Sun, 3 Feb 2013 22:35:33 +0100"  >
While I can see why this is bothering, you can work around this problem like this:
If you want to do /spawnpoint @p ~5 ~-10 ~0

Then do this:
/tp @p ~5 ~-10 ~0
/spawnpoint @p
/tp @p ~-5 ~10 ~0
</comment>
