[MC-8860] Snow appears more blue when the camera is moving or rotating

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

When the camera is moving or rotating, the top side of snow (block and decoration) appears more blue.

Factors That I Have Ruled Out:

Viewpoint(first, third from back, third from front)

Fast/Fancy Graphics

Creative/Survival

Different Snow Heights

Factors That Make It Blue-shift:

Light (more light=more blue, e.g., sunlight makes it really blue, torches less so, redstone torches do not appear to make it blue at all)

A snow decoration block will NOT be blue-shifted if it is directly adjacent to a block (a snow block will). If it is diagonally adjacent to a block, the snow will be split diagonally and the side further from the block will be blue, while the side closer to the block won't be blue.

I didn't include any pics because the screenshots did not show the blue that I'm talking about. If it's just me, sorry for wasting your time.

It occurred to me that the blue might be weird shadows if the snow has a top with different heights for different pixels, but as that sounds contradictory to everything else I know about MC, that doesn't seem likely.
</comment>

I've tested with and without VSync, snow is blue in both settings. I've tried turning each of the video settings on and off, and none of them appear to do anything about it. The only thing that seems to affect it is light level and block placement.

P.S. This isn't a big deal, it's not like blue wool, or even pale blue wool, just a strange bug/feature that seemed like it might have been accidental. It doesn't detract from my experience at all, so if Mojang wants to just call it a feature, that's fine by me.
</comment>

Maybe it's your graphics card ?
Try what happens if you toggle Options -> Graphics -> Use VSync

Can you at least attach a screenshot of your world to make sure we're talking about the same ?

And please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report here.
</comment>
