[MC-8755] Sound randomly stops working

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

So, I'm not sure if this is just on my computer or if others have experienced it as well, but from time to time the sound on Minecraft will just completely cut out with no explanation (I haven't changed or accidentally turned off the sound). The only way to get it to come back is to close Minecraft and restart it. A little unusual, but definitely would appreciate if anyone could give some helpful insight into this. Thanks!
