[MC-8040] Tamed dogs vanish when owner is hit by another player

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

When playing on a multiplayer server, if a player who owns tamed dogs is damaged by another player, the dogs start to growl. They never stop growling and if the player who owns them leaves the area, they despawn as if they were an aggressive mob. Allowing the dogs to kill the player that damaged their owner does not stop the growling. They can still breed like normal tamed dogs and otherwise behave as they should.

It's very annoying when someone just runs up and PvPs me and effectively kills every single dog I have. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

I run a vanilla MC server and whenever someone hits a player with dogs or if they hit a dog in a group owned by the same person, they go aggro which can be seen by their straight tails and growling. After a while they dissappear. This does need to be fixed. It renders dogs unusable in PVP servers.
</comment>
