I downloaded the jolicraft texturepack. before the new texturepack system the sun would look like "jolimoon.png". now I converted the texturepack to the new file format of the snapshot. All the textures got converted and worked, except for the moon and the sun. they have the default look.

Bugs are glitches that makes gameplay broken.
This is an annoyance not a bug.

You could say that them adding the lower section to zombies (broke all texture packs) is a bug but its not.
</comment>

and grum, if it's not a bug can you please make a line of code in the game that when it opens a texturepack, it automagically takes the sun moon and moon phases from the terrain and puts it in the environment map? not just for me, but for 8,9/10 year old that don't have a clue how to do that manually.
</comment>
                            <comment id="50647" author="grum" created="Thu, 7 Mar 2013 09:12:20 +0100"  >

no its made to convert texture packs. plus the untitcher is a seperate program related to minecraft. since its not a mod and it affects minecraft gameplay and it was released by dinnerbone himself this is indeed a bug.

Almost 100% sure this is NOT a bug. The unstitcher is only for the terrain.png and gui/items.png. I'll verify with Dinnerbone to be sure.
</comment>

Bring a few mods in here they know its not a big because nothing is wrong with anything.

Tons of things have been changed with texture packs and tons of things have been broken on purpose.

That's fine, keep it on here.

But they won't change it because nothing is wrong, and it's not a bug.

That's like saying the retexturing of gravel is a bug.
</comment>

and I'm not posting this bug because I'm lazy but because the younger people under us don't know how to make the sun and moon working again. but I allready told that but you just blindly ignored it. and because you clearly want proof the unstitcher was meant to convert the texturepack, look at this quote from the official minecraftwiki post:

"Resources
Dinnerbone has released an "unstitcher" tool which converts texture packs into 1.5 format. The format separates each individual block texture into its own file.[1] The "unstitcher" tool can be downloaded here."
this article was made on the texture pack page by jeb himself.

so here you go, you got me saying it's a bug, you got a mod saying it's a bug. and you are talking jibberisch about the work as intended.

Good day to you sir.
</comment>

Open up the jar and the code says to cut out pictures and that's it.

This isn't a bug it's a inconvenience to the LAZY
</comment>

He made it this way.
A bug is something they DID NOT INTEND!

This has no damn use and will never be 'fixed'

To have a workaround is no reason to resolve this.
</comment>

I mean you are so smart to move them from the terrain to the environment folder. but not all other people are, think of the younger minecrafters among us. they only know that if they use the unstitcher tool their texturepack should work, which in this case doesn't work on the sun and the moon
</comment>
