<project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

When the game is launched with Minecraft.app, the game creates files on the desktop called stitched_items.png and stitched_terrain.png.

EDIT: this is happening also on my windows computer.

Note that this bug is specifically the fact that the files are being created on the Desktop, as opposed to somewhere in %appdata%\.minecraft or ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft.

It makes these files in the directory you have your Minecraft Launcher. I have my Minecraft Launcher in its own dedicated folder, and open it via shortcuts on my desktop and Steam. I noticed the files in the directory I had the launcher. However, these files should be put somewhere in .minecraft and not where the launcher is. Just remember that this is specific to where your launcher is, and not the desktop.
</comment>
