[MC-6099] 1 tick circuit no longer is 1 tick

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

<ins>Issue</ins>
This circuit used to be 1 tick in 1.4.6 and it would let go of a block with a sticky piston and no longer does, i dont know if that was a bug thats been fix but I've used it to control clocks.

<ins>What I expected to happen was...</ins>
Circuit Img#1 to let go of the black wool block

<ins>What actually happened was...</ins>
It did not let go of the block (tested N S and W E)

<ins>Steps to Reproduce...</ins>
Build circuit Img#1 in 1.4.6 and the piston will let go, then build it in the snapshot it will not

<ins>Other Notes...</ins>
Circuit 2 acts just like circuit 1 did before the snapshot and it no longer does after the snapshot

<ins>Images</ins>
Circuit Img#1 - Broken Circuit (Repeater set to 3 ticks)
Circuit Img#2 - New Working Circuit

Before, they'd send a 1 tick pulse if given a 2 tick pulse, now they emit a 2 tick pulse instead. They don't react at all to 1 tick pulses. If that gets fixed then the circuits can recieve a minor tweak and work just fine.
</comment>

I have a copy of "MCAs Redstone Circuit Gallery" (I lost the download link) and out of the 18 monostable circuits that function in 1.4.7 15 of them are broken in 13w04a.

I think I got an angle to get every component of each device. The wool to the right is simply color coding to keep track of which devices break in the snapshot. I only uploaded the devices that work in 1.4.7 and break on 13w04a.
</comment>

I was using the circuit in the first screenshot to make really simple monostable circuits/T-Flip Flops. It sucks that now that I have to build a larger circuit to produce the same result. :/
</comment>

                            <comment id="33457" author="banana478" created="Sun, 6 Jan 2013 02:55:35 +0100"  >
I can certainly confirm this change and that two single-tick repeaters instead of one three-tick repeater works. I agree that the bug lies in the circuit timing, not in the pistons.
</comment>
                            <comment id="32946" author="jonathanhaas" created="Fri, 4 Jan 2013 23:09:24 +0100"  >
My circuit is just a very rough example which I invented on the fly. And actually you can replace all repeaters just by wire to make it more compact (except the one on the left which would need a longer wire if you would want to replace it). And I'm sure there are moch more compact designs already out there which still work.

Edit: The red wool block at the back should toggle when you hit the button, if not you're doing something wrong. But I don't suggest using my design, it's probably really bad and bloated. I'm sure cubehamster or some redstone expert invented a very compact design that still works. The only thing I wanted to state is that sticky pistons still let the block go on one tick pulses so the issue must be somewhere else.
</comment>
                            <comment id="32941" author="shardner" created="Fri, 4 Jan 2013 23:05:35 +0100"  >
the circuit i was using worked fine before the update on 1.4.6, tho its still possible to do so that's great, just means more i gotta cram into a build lol.

Edit- I now see what u mean, still is a bug to me that my old way doesn't work now tho, good to know its still is possible tho

I think the issue is my old circuit doesn't make a 1 tick pulse maybe?
</comment>
                            <comment id="32940" author="jonathanhaas" created="Fri, 4 Jan 2013 23:02:12 +0100"  >
Sticky pistons still leave blocks there if only activated for one tick but for some reason your circuit seems to fail to generate one tick pulses.

Try for example the attached circuit. It probably can be done a hundred times better but it seems to work.
</comment>
