[MC-4955] Villagers multiplying to unreasonable numbers

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

This is on Snapshot 12w50a

Logged on to vanilla server my friend and I play in. He had a village fenced in. As I entered that chunk for the first time the game slowed to a 0-1 FPS crawl and intermittently logged me out.

There were HUNDREDS of villagers. Probably only 20 doors total in the entire area, maybe even less. Not only that but he had been logged out for days and we are not even close to other players.

Not possible, we live around 100,000 X and Z where as most of the server is closer to 20k. Also it is a very small server with probably 10 people on at the most and we all pretty much know what's going on at all times.
</comment>

My friend had to actually set most the village on fire just to kill them as they were totally lagging him, and couldn't kill them all. Looks like this bug has happened in previous snapshots.
</comment>

Villagers have NEVER done that on any of my servers/single player worlds.
