started investigating the issue myself. A couple weeks before i reported
the issue, my friends were hanging out my house, and after building the
lighthouse (the building in the screenshot) we were amazed by the ender
portal being capable of seen from below. I did not report the bug till
weeks later because we thought it was cool, and when i suggested to report
the bug, my friends said not to. When i finally reported the issue, i had
updated to 1.4.5. I am sad to report i was using mods, but didn't think the
mods were causing the problem because my friends don't use any mods, and
they were having the issue too. My guess is the update to 1.4.5 fixed the
issue for the originally distributed jar, but one of the mods i was using,
continued the issue from 1.4.4 to 1.4.5. To prove my theory, i reset my
bin folder and was no longer having the issue. I am sorry for the
inconvenience.

texturepack in the screenshot. One thing i should mention is that the
beacon was traveling through air, glass, air, then the portal, and then air
again. A attached a screenshot (with normal texturepack) to the email
. - WindFeaker

Sorry for late reply.
