[MC-3287] Inconsistency with pistons pushing items

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

What I expect:
Consistency when a piston pushes a block with things attached to that block

What actually happens:
Sometimes the thing attached fall off (even through they can attach to the next block) and sometimes they stay attached (if they can attach to it)

Steps to reproduce:
This is strange as it only occurs randomly but

1.Put some jungle logs
2.Put cocoa beans on them
3.Use a piston to push the logs
4.Repeat until you find inconsistency in your result

This is the same for a redstone torch placed on the side of a block.
</comment>
                            <comment id="28512" author="n8r8r" created="Sat, 15 Dec 2012 01:24:58 +0100"  >
I have seen this effect be very consistent in various redstone machines. If you have a solid block (ex wooden planks) with a redstone torch on top, and then use pistons to push that block away with a block of glass, the redstone torch will remain on the block of glass.
I have used this in many machines and have never had the redstone torch break.
Even though it is consistent, im pretty sure it is still a bug and the redstone torch is intended to break. I do hope they leave this 'bug' in though, or else i will have to redesign my machines.
</comment>
