&lt;p&gt;more testing reveals that if you set the same sort of idea up with an open row of blocks in the middle, (so the path is functionally two wide) iron golems do not realize that they can make it&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Spiders and cave spiders DO come through any of these setups, probably because they can see through walls&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It is also worth noting that if you push them in-between with water, they are smart enough to move out (but not continue down the corridor)&lt;/p&gt;</comment>
