[MC-2875] Slime are spawning EVERYWHERE, not just in/near/by swamps.

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

Since I've been playing the 1 4.2 release, slime are spawning absolutely everywhere.. They're spawning in houses, caves, and all over the land and are almost always halfway in the ground. I realize there have been several reports made concerning this issue, but I feel they may have been overlooked due to the reporters being vague. I myself am aware of how slime operate and I'm aware of the update.

I repeat, I REALIZE there's been an update made where the slime now spawn in swamp biomes at night and that's NOT what this is. These things are spawning EVERYWHERE, and they're doing so despite the in-game time. This report has nothing to do with the fact that I personally feel these updates of which make rare things less rare are RUINING multiplayer-server play, it's solely based on the fact that the addition appears to be all out of wack and ISN'T WORKING CORRECTLY. I don't feel I need to attach a photo seeings how it appears to be VERY easy to replicate this issue.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I loaded/created several worlds, and withing minutes of every instance, slime had simply taken over the spawn area.
2. ...
3. ...

intend 2 read it. They're ruining the game & though I'vew noticed since 1.4
6 (I think) that they've been spawning better. Aside from the fact that
taking the challenge out of their location (thus destroying prior slime
value) was one of the worst moves they've made, they were spawning way 2
much & evidently trucking it across multiple biomes to make an appearance
in the middle of my large/solid Jungle biome (where/how they mustered the
dedication & determination required 2 cross that ocean is beyond me).
That's the last I have 2 say about that. If small
want-it-all-(now)-4-nothing children r who they're looking to please - then
I suppose they're doin' a good job. Peace

Idk wtf u want me to do to verify this, but I assure you that if you'de provided me with a
method I'da taken you fux up on it.

You've been asked to provide a crash dump to verify it, which you acknowledged, but you didn't "take us up on it."

If you're a "grown ass man," I'd suggest you start acting like it. If you can't offer anything more constructive than name-calling and accusations, your input is not valuable here.
</comment>

surrounding biomes. Half the net's talking about the overpopulation
of slime and you write them all off as (unable to replicate (resolved)) and
that's NOT the case. Due to the fact finals are going on, I haven't been
back on. Nevertheless, when I do, they're everywhere. Idk what u want me to
do to verify this, but I assure you that if you'de provided me with a
method I'da taken you up on it. DON'T repeatedly inform me of your
incompetence while pointing that finger back MY way. Rather than
get your game tight, you fools insist on passing the puck like it's a
fukin' ice game. Unless you've found a way of FIXING this overpopulation of
slime, leave ME alone, git it?
</comment>

can't really see the biomes defined anyways, though slime seem to be about
1/4 of all mobs spawned. Thanks for the help.

I've created a new world with seed -1863278924533483171 whereupon I spawned in or around 59, 88, 249 - ForestHills biome. I made sure I was in hard mode, and checked some caves to ensure mobs had spawned there as expected. I waited a full day cycle, and halfway through the night, flying around occasionally and only saw the appropriate mobs spawn....no slimes at all.

A couple of things. First, can you please try that seed, wait until you see slimes spawn, fly up and take and attach a screenshot for me with debug screen open?

Secondly, once that's done, hold down F3 + C for a little over 10 seconds, release them and attach the crash report that should be generated.

Cheers
</comment>

It's at level 55 or so and isn't in any slime plots or by a swamp biome; not to mention it's completely closed off. Two slime is nothing, I just took this real quick to add. This IS an issue guys, it really doesn't seem to be working correctly.
</comment>
                            <comment id="21051" author="rx_" created="Mon, 12 Nov 2012 22:25:25 +0100"  >
They're SUPPOSED to be spawning in swamp biomes at night, then they can travel from there. However, in this case they're spawning all over my jungle biome and I've watch them do so. I'm also aware of my correlation to any surrounding slime plots, though this shouldn't matter due to the fact that I'm above level 30; nevertheless, I continue to keep them in mind when I look into these instances and that doesn't appear to be it either.
</comment>

( They also can't swim so they die in water). Only way to "reproduce" is playing in peaceful difficulty.
</comment>
