[MC-2853] Creepers out of nowhere in any light level.

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was...:
In the past versions Creepers needed light to be low like all other aggressive mobs.

What actually happened was...:
Ever since 1.3.2 I've had them blow up on me during the day in the middle of areas where light levels never drop below 8-9 and there are walls separating the area from the wilds beyond, one case being an area covered from wall to wall in half slabs.

Steps to Reproduce:
I don't know how to reproduce this issue. As I mentioned in the summary, it's creepers out of nowhere. And just creepers, I've yet to have any other mob attack me in the same conditions as noted.

That's pretty close to out of nowhere, was with 1.5 I believe, maybe 1.5.1. Other than this fluke occurence, I haven't seen anything like the OP reported

Also, are you sure they aren't coming from small spots that you forgot to light up completely? Since they'll path to you now, they're coming from somewhere.
</comment>

If this continues to be an issue we can revisit.
</comment>

I went to creative and flew 26 or so blocks up, set time to night, and alternated between peaceful and hard to try and force respawns, but nothing spawned inside the base that I could see.
</comment>
