<project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

If you hit a mob they just walk really slowly towards you.
But when they're not agro they walk fast again..

What I expected to happen was...:
They would walk normal

What actually happened was...:
Describe what happened here

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Find a mod
2. Hit them
3. Watch them walk

However I am glad this bug was finally fixed for Survival mode at least, and wanna say thank you and the rest of the Minecraft team for the hard work you guys have been doing and fixing bugs.
</comment>

However, if they hold a bow, they will move at normal speed and not "bug" out. Started happening in 1.4.4.
</comment>

The Skeleton used to do it but it was oddly fixed in one of the 1.4. snapshots, I believe the one where Dinnerbone made mobs jump down at the player if they would survive the fall. Spiders, Zombie Pigmen, Blazes, anything with the old AI do not suffer from this bug.
</comment>

I can understand mobs slowing down if say my sword damaged their legs, but a glancing blow could also make them move FASTER as if angered. Imagine having to run from a creeper and being forced to block to save yourself because for a short time, it could out-distance you. Just a random concept.
</comment>
                            <comment id="12476" author="darkfigure" created="Wed, 24 Oct 2012 22:53:39 +0200"  >
This also causes them to cancel their attack on you. I've been able to stand inside a zombie spamming the attack button and they barely attack, if at all. Another extreme example is wolves; spawn a single wolf, go to survival, and hit it. It will slowly follow you but then stop, even if it is still angry, when it should attack you. Glad someone finally reported this bug!
</comment>

For me I just spawned a few zombies, let the follow me, and directly after punching them they would animate like they were walking through a spider web, and move about the same speed. After about 4 seconds, they would return to normal speed.
</comment>
