It would save us all the trouble of having to turn around and break it behind. It would make the game slightly less irritating. Its irritating to have to turn around all the time and break that block that I didn't intend to place where it was placed. Sort of like placing something somewhere that I don't want it.
</comment>

There is no block occupying where you try to place the ladder, it just places behind you for no reason.
</comment>

                            <comment id="55036" author="gamelover85" created="Mon, 18 Mar 2013 15:35:28 +0100"  >
Yeah there was already a ladder there, until I go up further to a spot there is no ladder. Its sort of as I'm climbing up the wall I place ladders all the way up. I have to turn around and break the ladder that was placed behind. But I was expecting it to not place anything at all (like it use to in older versions of minecraft when something was already there). It doesn't place anything if I'm occupying the spot where I'm trying to place the ladder, but it does place it behind when I place a ladder where there is already a ladder. I don't think it is suppose to be doing that. I thought it was suppose to not place anything if something was already there.
</comment>
