I can't hear it at all unless I turn the volume way up. It should be the same volume as the other environmental sounds. I cannot hear anything splashing around in the water like I used to.
</comment>
                            <comment id="17778" author="meemoe8" created="Sat, 3 Nov 2012 21:11:16 +0100"  >
This is not a bug,it is intended to be more faint but it shouldn't be faint when jumping from the top of the map, they should add a piece of code so that if you fall more then 32 blocks it will play the original sound.
</comment>
                            <comment id="15081" author="liimon" created="Mon, 29 Oct 2012 18:10:02 +0100"  >
I have the same problem. All other sounds play at normal volume but when I jump into any pool of water the splash sound is VERY faint. In my mob trap, skeletons splashing in water make almost no sound. This appears to be limited specifically to the water splash.
</comment>
