[MC-1059] Severe bug that does not allow me to play on my own server

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

My client immediately crashes when I try to join a locally hosted server.(ie my own)
I have tried many force updates, and reinstalling the vanilla server software each time. But it does not work still. This map was created it 1.3, so I am not sure if that is the problem instead.

iPwnTNT lost connection: disconnect.genericreason

If someone has any fix to this, then please help me. Otherwise, that leaves me prone to griefers/trollers seeing as I cannot administrate my own server.

Steps:
loaded old world from 1.3 bukkit
download 1.4 vanilla server
run server nogui
login using localhost

If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
</comment>

But I did try deleting the bin folder and force updating. I'm just puzzled as to why bukkit is ok but vanilla server isn't.
</comment>
                            <comment id="16334" author="labcoatlazuli" created="Thu, 1 Nov 2012 13:36:06 +0100"  >
In this case, I'm not sure whether its a server issue, or client issue. But it must have something to do with the vanilla server software because I can go on bukkit fine.
I am trying to go vanilla because redstone/eating/potion drinking/flow of lava and water/tnt dosen't lag on vanilla.
</comment>

I am usually just running optifine and I can join my bukkit server using localhost just fine.
</comment>

Is Modded: Very likely
What mods do you have installed? It is probably one of the mods causing the issue.
