[MC-10531] Different high pitch noice levels when entering different menus

                <project id="10400" key="MC">Minecraft: Java Edition</project>

I've had this problem several times in different Minecraft versions, and on different computers and also with two different kinds of headphones.

The headsets I've been using is 'Sony DR-GA500' and right now 'SteelSeries Siberia V2 Black/Gold'.

This sound bug appears every time i open up Minecraft and going in to ANY menu except the start menu. The sound level diverge in every different menu, so for example is the sound pitch level when I go into the multiplayer menu higher than the single player menu and so on. This sound pitch also appear when I am pressing any menu buttons, e.g. when I click "Join Server", it's almost like I hear Minecraft "working".

To reproduce this it's a simple matter of:
1. Open Minecraft.
2. Click on any menu.
3. Listen.

I've heard that many other have this problem too, and some people doesn't have it at all. So it's pretty weird.

I've also provided you with my DxDiag file.

Poorly isolated sound producing electronics react to EM-noise caused by all the rest of electronics on the motherboard and graphics card. Alternately, extra noisy components (e.g. badly designed/manufactured PSU or graphics card) can create so much EM noise that typical noise filtering at the sound parts is not enough. My previous motherboard has so bad noise issues with its "high quality sound" that I could not listen to anything with it; I had to buy a sound card for that one.

If the above is the reason, then, as Minecraft does different amount of activity in different menus, the noise patterns will vary, too, thus different noises. And different Minecraft versions will not affect the situation significantly (other than possibly having different activity levels).

It is not totally excluded that different PC setups end up using different sound drivers (even software ones), and thus may have some software bugs causing the symptoms, (or not use the noisy sound electronics). However, in such case the bug is not in the Minecraft, either, but in those drivers.
</comment>
