[BDS-9875] Minecraft Realm: "Outdated Server!"

                <project id="11700" key="BDS">Bedrock Dedicated Server</project>

Minecraft updated on Xbox One today 16:45PM (GMT time zone) but logging into the realm (I am the owner) provided a message which reads:

Could not connect: Outdated Server!

Realms update pending within 48 hours

is this a regular occurrence when new versions of the game are released on console?

I have had issues in the past but I saw a Reddit post which said to close the realm and reopen which worked but I have never been greeted with this error message before so I don't want to close and reopen the world at risk of losing it!

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

thank you for your feedback. I’m new to realms so I wasn’t sure how to go about this safely. Apologies for the confusing issue I initially logged.

I have followed your instructions and the realm is back online with no issues or losses to builds, items etc.

thank you for helping me resolve this
</comment>

Sorry I'm not sure what the issue is here.

When there has been an update to Minecraft, the Realm needs to be closed and re-opened to allow it to update if you don't want to wait for it to be done automagically. While the Realm is active its not able to update so closing it gives it the time it needs to update. This isn't deleting the realm, just temporarily taking it offline. You can always take a backup prior if worried.
</comment>
