Not sure if this issue has been fixed in the past updates though, but now everything seems fine. I think we can close it now.
</comment>

This time with version 1.14.21 (server) and client 1.14.20. No modifications to minecraft server files (default). Remote server is an Ubuntu LTS 18.04 VPS (location Amsterdam), client is Android location Stockholm. I was able to connect several times, no timeout, server is visible with green light. Server is a 4gb, 2vcpu VPS, no firewall.

My problem is solved. Can Kevin and the others confirm that their problems are solved as well?
</comment>

I found out that I had enabled NAT acceleration (CTF) to be able to use external IP through my WAN (router)
</comment>
                            <comment id="620534" author="mrblond" created="Mon, 30 Dec 2019 13:47:04 +0100"  >
I have the same issue. I created a local LAN server and was able to log in with no issue. The kids could all log in too. I changed the permissions.json file to make me an operator then stopped and restarted the server and although I can see the server on my Android tablet, I can no longer log in. It just times out.

EDIT: just before I was about to post this the Bedrock Server stopped. When I restarted it was fine again. I will update if it happens again.
</comment>

I can connect via the local host IP but the second I connect via my WAN IP it give me "Unable to connect to world." My server is DMZ and for shits and giggles I added port forwarding to the PC and checked my firewall settings for both my router and server. anyone have a work around?
</comment>
                            <comment id="576148" author="idolizer" created="Wed, 21 Aug 2019 10:38:08 +0200"  >
I have the exact same problem which is shocking because this was posted in like April, it's August now, and no one has found a solution to this yet. I have no problems with port forwarding, and I had the same problem on a VPS. You're the only one that seems to be having this problem with me when I look it up online. Has anyone figured this out yet at all? I not only have this issue with the Bedrock Dedicated Software, but with third party server software like Nukkit, and PocketMine as well. This is so confusing.
</comment>
                            <comment id="559518" author="jeroendemunter@gmail.com" created="Mon, 24 Jun 2019 16:54:12 +0200"  >
Tried according to Scott S comment. Did not work for my Android device. Strangely enough, I was able to play for a couple of minutes before the server disconnected me, but only after reinstalling the server as well. Now, the server is restarted and my Android client is showing the red light.

What is going on here? Hope 1.12 addresses some of these internet connection issues!
</comment>
                            <comment id="559313" author="scottswezey" created="Sun, 23 Jun 2019 22:27:43 +0200"  >
As silly as this sounds, I spent hours troubleshooting this issue. Double checking configs, firewall setup, reinstalling the server, etc etc etc. I ultimately resolved the problem by... reinstalling the client software.

That's right, my iOS app wouldn't connect to the server. Maybe some kind of caching from a previous error on my end? Anyways, I deleted the app, reinstalled it, and suddenly could connect without any problems. If you've tried everything else, it may be worth a shot.
</comment>

                            <comment id="555644" author="jeroendemunter@gmail.com" created="Sun, 9 Jun 2019 22:18:55 +0200"  >
Using version 1.11.4.2 I'm having the same issue. Server Ubuntu 18.04 (standard VPS image), default udp port open, confirmed and server plus port reachable from outside world by nmap command. On the client, in the server list it shows as a red dot (tested on both Android and Win10). My other games that run dedicated servers work as expected.

Tried another VPS provider, same issue. Tried a baremetal instance with 4 dedicated cpu's, same issue. Tried tweaking udp in kernel, same issue!
</comment>

But remotely nothing will connect. I have tested the port is open with another app and this works fine.

I am using version 1.10.0.7
</comment>
