&lt;p&gt;There isn&apos;t a different version. Consoles now run the same version of Minecraft that Windows 10, Switch, iOS and Android run (as well as Xbox One and PS4). It used to run something similar to Java but was behind in updates and developed by a third party company (who did a great job).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Unfortunately though this isn&apos;t a bug and I have to close this report.
