[BDS-18754] Linux server no longer works.

                <project id="11700" key="BDS">Bedrock Dedicated Server</project>

I have your Minecraft Bedrock Server running. The Linux version.

Before 1.20.30 it was working perfectly for ages, years I think, its been a really long time.

Ever since 1.20.30 came out the local lan server no longer shows up in Minecraft.
I checked out the Windows version and that works but the Linux version no longer works. Its just not there anymore in any version of Minecraft.

Can you fix this or is there something I have to change to get it working?

I'm using a QNAP NAS to run the bedrock server on and its been running for years.
I've been updating it as soon as the client says its an outdated server. Just copy/paste the files over and its all good.
Now, 1.20.30 came out, the usual download and copy/paste and now nothing. It just stopped working.
If I copy the old executable file over then it shows up but it says its an outdated version so it doesn't work but its showing up again.
I put the new version on and its gone again.

I tried the beta, 1.20.40 and that also doesn't show up.

Have you killed the linux server? I cant get it working anymore.

I had to search around, find a new version of the QNAP app, started with a fresh server and it worked.
I copied my world over and that now works again.

I have no idea why the old version didn't work. It was a fresh install at one stage, the fresh Windows server also didn't work but it is now.

I shouldnt have to do that just for an update.
As I said the last version 1.20.15 still works fine and shows up but the client says its outdated so it wont connect. As soon as I updated the files to 1.20.30 it stopped showing up in the client.
After a complete fresh install of the app and the linux server files its now working.

A complete mess around just for an update.
</comment>

I already did that in my testing.

Thats why i got a windows server also as the linux server no longer works so i tried the windows one and that also fails.
</comment>

Can you please set up server from new download and verify if issue still occurs? If not, copy just your previous world, server properties file and allowlist if it is used.

This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.
</comment>
