<project id="11700" key="BDS">Bedrock Dedicated Server</project>

Noted issues with Villagers since update on a dedicated server. Villagers , disappear on reloading/restarting server. They will no longer link to beds or profession stations even on breaking and replacing, they will not do any green sparkles. They no longer link to beds as well to rest, but they do breed being aware of bed amount in the area. New villages discovered are empty from any villagers and considered abandoned till locating 6 different villages in the area being empty.

In order to keep the Bedrock Dedicated Server project running smoothly I'm going to request this issue be closed as "Awaiting Response".

Never fear though! If this is still affecting you in the latest version (and is related to Bedrock Dedicated Server and not the Minecraft Bedrock game) all you have to do is comment and it will reopen.

If your issue does still exist but is related to the game and not the server software please head over to the Minecraft (Bedrock codebase) project.

Its possible you're experiencing <del>MCPE-21416</del> and <del>MCPE-49580</del>. I would suggest heading there and upvoting those.

@Kristy I believe the empty villages was a transient bug in an older version, has that been sorted?

Set up a new BDS server on Ubuntu, village near spawn so I moved in. Then I stopped/started the server a few times while I played with the configuration. All villagers but one (blacksmith) had vanished when I next logged-in. But a sheep in a pen was still there. The blacksmith would work at his workstation all day and night, never going indoors. I tried deleting every bed in the area and re-placing them and then he went indoors and ran around in circles. Eventually he started sleeping in the bed. I fenced him in his house and lit it well to keep him safe but he has also now vanished!
</comment>
