 Description

Since version 0.11 appeared it has been difficult to impossible to place a block next to the one I am standing on, at the same level. Survival mode.

I used to be able to stand on a block, and tap to the side and place a block against its side in any direction. I would then be able to create a bridge in mid-air, for instance, placing block by block on the same level through space horizontally.

I understand that you've reduced the range on some block activies, but this seems fundamental to some ways of building in Survival.

MCPE is my favorite form of MC, because of the tactile nature of the game... hope you preserve some of the nicer microinteractions!

Still affects 0.12.1

I've figured out what this is:

Old behaviour:
I stand on a block, and with a placeable block in my hand, I tap just ahead of the block. The block I'm standing on highlights, and depending on which side I tapped, the block in my hand is placed immediately adjacent to the block I'm standing on, at the same level.

This is how I would build things up high.

So what has changed is the distance at which the nearness of another block interferees with my ability to place a block adjacent to the one I am standing on.

If I am high in the air, then this still works as in pre 11.x

However, now, if another block is within 10 blocks or so, it interferes with the ability of my block to "highlight" and accept an adjacent block. This distance used to be much less, and sometimes I would place blocks incorrectly because of the nearness, but usually not.

More often than not it is broken

This is intermittent, sometimes everything is fine then it happens again
