duplicates MCPE-6275 Glitch when holding a torch. Resolved
Game Mode: Survival
Confirmation Status: Unconfirmed
Platform: Tablet - iOS - iPad 2

 Description

A white pixel appears by the side of a torch when held. It appears in both first-person (only noticeable when whacking things with it) and third-person, but I couldn't capture the first-person one using the iOS screen capture thing, taken always at the wrong moment when it's invisible (such as when looking at an item when directly above it in "Fast" graphics).

In the picture below, the white pixel is clearly seen on the wooden part of the bed, next to Steve's arm.

Confirmed in .8.1.

It appears where the 3D side texture would be if it had a pixel at the edge (still showing the 3D side of the torch), and torch particles do not appear when holding them. It doesn't face me when I whack stuff, or in third person, but I'd have to get a better picture to show that. If I removed the torch at the foot of the bed, it still appears.

I vote working as intended. The particles of the torch are always facing the character client side, no matter if the character in 3rd person view or not. The white pixel is actually the smoke, but since it is overlapping itself when you angle the camera correctly, it appears white. This may be wrong but they are my thoughts.

I believe that is apart of the texture.
