 Description
    • Selected Build 8 above as 0.8.0 wasn't available in the Released Versions section - this affects the released version **

There's a bug in multiplayer where a joining player only ever places one block type regardless of what they select. I saw online that this was supposed to have been fixed in '0.8.0 build 8', but it appears to still be an issue....

What I expected to happen was...:
Selected block should be placed

What actually happened was...:
Whatever block was selected first (or tool - i.e. flint & steel) takes effect rather than the selected block.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log on to multiplayer (as a client, not a host)
2. Select a block
3. Place it
4. Change block

Cleaning up old issues, please reply if affecting 0.9.3

this happens to me to I noticed it depends on what is in the hot bar.

It looks like perhaps the first (left-most) block in the quick-access tray is what's placed.

It's also happening on Android devices - 1 with kit kat, three Cyanogenmod, 10.1 and 10.2

Not just iPad I'm afraid - it's happening for us on iPhone 4 (iOS 6) and iPod touch 3rd Ge (iOS 5)

I think it only happens on the iPad. I tried with the iPhone and it seems to work (use the appropriate block). On the iPad, with the latest version (0.8.0 alpha as of Dec 12 2013) it still places the wrong kind of block.

I can confirm this happens on Pocket Realms as well.
