 Description

When I try to join a Realms server (that I have been whitelisted on), I get stuck at the "Waiting for Minecraft Realms" screen. After a few seconds, it said "Unable to connect to world".

How to trigger bug:
1. Get whitelisted on a server
2. Try joining the server
3. Boom, you can't join :/

Cleaning up old issues, please reply if affecting 0.9.3

I can confirm, after updating MCPE to 0.7.5 (on iOS7 GM) you still get the above mentioned message (as in the screenshot) each and every time you try to connect to your (own) realm.

Comment by Jeremy Starr [ 13/Sep/13 ]

I managed to get a realms server today with iOS on 0.7.4 before the 0.7.5 update was available and got this same error. After updating to 0.7.5 it persists, I have not yet been able to join the server. Keeps telling me to try again.

My realms name is Lafoog, if that helps anyone in development. I am not the owner of the servers.

Comment by J [ 10/Sep/13 ]

Yes, this is still a bug as of 0.7.4. I can not say about 0.7.5, as it has not been released for iOS yet. If you are misunderstanding me, I am NOT the owner of the servers. I am whitelisted to two currently, and neither of then work. I was previously whitelisted to 5 and none of then worked for me either.

0.7.4 server/realm owner gets this screen. other, invited players can login normally.

Comment by Gergely Dervarics [ 10/Sep/13 ]

can't comment on 0.7.5 as it is not yet published to the ios appstore, but it is still a problem with 0.7.4
it constantly says: "could not connect to server. try again."

Comment by Kumasasa [ 10/Sep/13 ]

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 0.7.5 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

This stupid bug . I still can't get on any realms servers, I guess I'll have to give up and use pocketmine

Comment by Robin [ 15/Jul/13 ]

I don't need help, thanks anyway

One more thing. I was whitelisted on one of my subscriber's servers. If I don't go on it for a while (say 2-3 days) the server is still in my Realms list. However, when I try joining it says "Unable to Connect. Make sure you are whitelisted". That error message usually displays two to three times before it actually LETS me join. Not that this bug is completely game changing, it can be annoying at times...

Oh and Johan sometimes this bug still happens. I know you and @mamirm fixed it, but occasionally it happens sometimes. Another bug is that the server player counter is still stuck at 0/10 people.

Comment by ThunderBow98 [ 15/Jul/13 ]

Johan, if you need any help in testing, feel free to add me to your realm

My Minecraft PE Realms name is Lafoog if it helps anyone in development

Comment by J [ 06/Jul/13 ]

This is still a bug as of 0.7.2. Also, all servers say 0/10 players as well.

Comment by Robin [ 04/Jul/13 ]

Atleast not in 0.7.2

Comment by J [ 04/Jul/13 ]

Johan, do you know if the bug is server side or client side? Also, do you know if it will be fixed in the 0.7.2 or .3 updates?

Comment by Robin [ 04/Jul/13 ]

and he can't join mine. unless it was apparent

Comment by Robin [ 04/Jul/13 ]

I am the server owner but i know what you're saying. My cousin has almost the same problem as you but as i wrote before, im the owner.

Comment by J [ 04/Jul/13 ]

Just to clarify I am not the server owner

Comment by J [ 04/Jul/13 ]

I've also tried multiple devices and none of them work. The people on the server tell me that they have no problems getting on. It would be odd, but does it have something to do with my IP address?

Comment by Gergely Dervarics [ 03/Jul/13 ]

Just to counter the above suggestion and as described above: on the server I "own", invited players can join after 2-3x retries, but myself can NOT. Usually I got a timeout message on the first try and every second try just takes forever. I have to cancel and start it over again. I attempted logins from iphone5 and ipad mini, makes no difference.

Comment by Robin [ 03/Jul/13 ]

Ok, so... How long until i can play? Will you solve this problem this week or so?

Comment by Johan Bernhardsson [ 03/Jul/13 ]

Ok, then this bug is known. We are working on it, it has something to do with Realms thinking a server is online before it is.. I have opened MCPE-3352 again.

Comment by Robin [ 03/Jul/13 ]

The tip you gave doesnt work. You said something about a fix of the server around 22-23d of june? And since that i havent been able to play...

Comment by Platypus [ 03/Jul/13 ]

Hey Johan here are some annoying bugs and some of them have been in the game forever MCPE-61, MCPE-188, MCPE-2484, MCPE-2569, MCPE-3352, and MCPE-4215.

MCPE-3352 was marked incomplete but it still a bug nonetheless.

Comment by Platypus [ 03/Jul/13 ]

It happens to me the first time I try to join my server but the second time it works fine. This occurs every time I open MCPE on my iPod and on my Droid X2.

Comment by Johan Bernhardsson [ 03/Jul/13 ]

What happens if you try to connect to the same server again after seeing the waiting for message? We are aware of that bug but has still not figured out what causes it.

Comment by J [ 03/Jul/13 ]

This bug is still happening... I've tried resetting my network settings and I rebooted my iPod. Nothing works. I have an iPod touch 5 g if that helps anyone. I am whitelisted to 3 servers.

Comment by Robin [ 27/Jun/13 ]

As far As i know realms is another system. So they have to fix it on that system.

Comment by J [ 26/Jun/13 ]

I have the exact issue. Maybe 0.7.2 will fix it?

Comment by Robin [ 25/Jun/13 ]

My server worked UNTIL yesterday at 8 pm (Swedish time) and since then i haven't been Able to play, the "unable to connect to world" is back :/

Comment by Gergely Dervarics [ 25/Jun/13 ]

as of 25 June, after the server side patch that was supposed to be applied yesterday, I still get the "unable to connect" error everytime (or it keeps trying forever). although, it takes 2-3 tries for my invited players to login on the very same realm, that I have created. client version 0.7.1

is there any further information I could provide?

Comment by Gergely Dervarics [ 19/Jun/13 ]

lucky you! for me, now it reverted to the earlier "Unable to join server. Check if you're invited." error message. for me (the realm "owner") and my invited friends too.

Comment by Robin [ 19/Jun/13 ]

Now my friends and i can join My server. (Im using the account in which i hosted the server it started to work yesterday!

Comment by Robin [ 18/Jun/13 ]

Yes but no one can join My server its like ive got an unregistred server who works like a real server but its unplayable :/

Comment by Gergely Dervarics [ 17/Jun/13 ]

also I can not join my "own" realm, that runs under my name. first it gave an error message that I must be invited. I added myself to the invited user list, but after trying to login, I also got the above mentioned error message and also my own name got removed from the invited list. (ios, 0.7.1, realm name: KNTR, user GregKB)
