If you have a world named 'x', and then create a new world with the name of 'x.' (put a dot after the world name), instead of creating a new world, it loads the world with the name 'x', no matter what gamemode and seed you selected. As you can see, the world Skyscrapercity reamains on the same place. Example: I created a worl named 'Weird Glitch'. Then, I created a new world named 'Weird Glitch.'. Instead of creating a new world, named 'Weird Glitch.', it just loads the 'Weird Glitch' world (pictures included). |

I don't actually know why he did that. But what I do know is that a directory name contains a name and an extention like any other file. |

Ok maybe youre right but then why did he resolve it as fixed and not works as intended. Misleading. |

Since in most versions each world is saved in its own directory and "name" and "name." refers to the same directory, then worlds called "name" and "name." would always refer to the same world. Impossible to change that because that is part of the operating system of the computer and not minecraft. |

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. |
