Go to the furnace, click to add sand to the top, it gets added to the furnace but your inventory count remains the same. Tested also with stone and iron ore (iron ore works correctly)

Not happening anymore, this was fixed far ago.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

The problem I had was to do with multiple types of wood (and multiple piles of the same item). If your inventory order was: light wood, then dark wood, and you tried to put dark wood into the furnace, it decremented the first pile of wood that is listed in your inventory, which is the light wood. I have never noticed it not decremented on iPad as described in the report description.

HTC Desire S/Android 2.3.7, happened once. I had two steaks then added them to furnace, then I still had two steaks. I added them once more, and finally I got nothing in inventory, and 4 steaks in furnace.

It seems I wasn't able to recreate this. Inventory was decremented correctly with sand on top. (Also iPhone 4).
