 Description

So basically the way to trigger the bug is to open a world spawn a parrot then tame it.after that let it sit somewhere, then quit the world and enter it again and you will see the parrot is standing up,dont know if its the same with other pets though.Edit:According to the comments the same thing happens when you get far enough from the chunks where the parrots are and then when you come back to the chunks the parrots are standing up

I am still having this issue. Not resolved.

Comment by Jay [ 24/Oct/17 ]

Guys, the bug will be fixed in 1.2.5. It's being worked on!

Comment by Impetigo [ 24/Oct/17 ]

This appears to be resolved in the latest beta 1.2.5 Build 12.

Comment by John Egan [ 23/Oct/17 ]

Having that problem too.
Damn.

Comment by Impetigo [ 19/Oct/17 ]

Can confirm, still an issue in 1.2.3 in Xbox One version.

Comment by Noel Patrick [ 19/Oct/17 ]

bug is still happening on recently patched released on 1.2.3, Mc windows 10 edition
-parrots on sit when you log out will teleport to you when you log back in.
-when a person with a parrot on multiplayer logs out it will not remain in sit position

How is this a duplicate of all those other ones when on those ones it says they're duplicates of this? I think this may be the original (or at least the most popular) simply because few people have commented on those other ones and because all those other ones are resolved issues and this one is not.

Also happens to me in Windows 10 edition. It's extremely annoying because I've collected something like 20 or 30 parrots and they all teleport to me whenever I open my world now. XD

Comment by Trevor Rutledge [ 08/Oct/17 ]

takes me 4 hours gameplay to get to a jungle. now every time i save i have to make sure i'm at my homebase because of these parrots appearing next to me when i load in. i don't feel like travelling a total of 8 hours to get a parrot again. Please save the only 2 i have left

I'm experiencing the same issue in Xbox One 1.2.2.

Tamed parrots always come to wherever I am when I start the game. I made a house to contain them hoping this would prevent the "teleport" to my start position, however it doesn't matter where I am.

This affects iOS as well. I have an iPad Air 2. It's impossible to keep tamed parrots alive because of this glitch. I also agree that their distance for mimicking noises is too far - especially zombie sounds. The constant noise is annoying, and with so many underground caves around, it really isn't very helpful.

Comment by Lorin Dannar [ 29/Sep/17 ]

All of my parrots have now died due to this glitch as well, I am not going to bother until it is fixed. I also feel like 24 blocks is too much, it makes them really annoying, no matter where I am it is constant. Thanks Ed!

Comment by Ed Collard [ 26/Sep/17 ]

Lorin, they make noises of mobs within like 24 blocks of them in all directions so it could be a cave nearby.

but yes it happens whenever the chunk unloads and reloads.

Comment by Jay [ 25/Sep/17 ]

This happens to my on my iOS too. Did you know half my parrots died because of this glitch?!

I have this issue only with tamed parrots. I am getting rid of mine until it is fixed. For me it is not just quitting and going back in. If I sit them and travel far away the second I hit the chunks where they were sitting they all fly over to me. I spent a long time making cute cages and getting them in was not easy so this really irritated me.

I also find they make mob noises ALL the time, even when no mobs are near. It's a bit much and I don't travel with a parrot because they do it so much I miss actual danger
