If a redstone torch is powering a hopper, you can't drop anything in it, only place something it. If you drop something on it , it just keeps sitting on te ground |

No, you don't get it. Normally, you can DROP something into an hopper. I know when a redstone torch is powering the hopper items are not transferring to another hopper, but normally a hopper can get an item everytime even if there is a redstone torch. Also if you put a chest above it, the items in the chest will not go in the hopper, on minecraft pc edition you CAN do that. Believe me, this is a bug! |

Hoppers are red stone components. They don't pull or push items when they are powered. You can read more here: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Hopper |
