 Description

When I logged on after updating to version 1.0.8, all of my dyed sheep and natural sheep that were black, brown and grey turned white. I did search for this bug and see similar bug reports but not including both dyed and natural sheep turning white. When I sheer the sheep, they are dropping their original color wool for both the dyed colors and the natural non-white colors. It would be preferable for sheep to visibly remain the color of wool they are dropping so we know which sheep to sheer.

Confirmed: after installing the 1.1 update on Windows 10, my sheep are again displaying as the appropriate color.

Check your games everyone! 1.1 was released yesterday. Color should be properly restored with the update in place! I had a pen full of colored sheep when I loaded my game last night.

Ms. G, The final version with the fix has not been released yet. It will come out with the 1.1 version of the Pocket Edition - the upcoming Discovery Update. See the preceding comments above.

Comment by Ms. G [ 29/May/17 ]

I'm still experiencing this issue in the 1.0.9 updated release.

Comment by Jeremiah Oehlerich [ 19/May/17 ]

It is resolved in a beta edition not available yet on all platforms, hence the (beta) designation. It will resolve when the final version of the update releases.

Comment by Davisson Noble [ 19/May/17 ]

It says it's resolved, but I just had that bug today (I'm on an iOS iPad mini 2) 😠

Comment by Shivank Khanna [ 18/May/17 ]

yes offcourse this is issue was well knowned in 1.1 Beta too but was fixed in the last beta build but dont know probably why this issue shifted to non-beta users!! don't worry each and every major and single bug will be fixed in the 1.1 official release.

Comment by Jeremiah Oehlerich [ 18/May/17 ]

Thank you. That clarifies things for me!

1.1 is currently still in the beta testing stage (the latest beta version being 1.1.0.9) - This is publicly available on android devices only. You can find out more about joining the best testing group here:

http://pocketbeta.minecraft.net/p/how-to-join-and-leave-beta.html

Non-Android users (Windows 10, iOS etc) are currently on version 1.0.8.1, and will have to wait until the beta testing is completed and 1.1 is fully released.

With the Windows 10 Edition having a different version numbering than the Pocket Edition, my load screen currently says v1.0.8, when will we know we have received the update which addresses this issue?

Comment by Alejandro Rebollo Fernandez [ 17/May/17 ]

And how I install 1.1.0.8 version on my Windows 10 edition? Im not playing PE...... im on computer.

This issue has been closed as a Duplicate of MCPE-21381.

Bear in mind that MCPE-21381 has been resolved as fixed in version 1.1.0.8 (beta) - earlier versions will still be affected.

It's not solved! Also the duplicated ones, aren't solved.

Why marked as solved if it's not?

Chatting in forums, I discover is a GLOBAL bug, a lot of people have it.

Kill and respawn ships didn't work. Even summon colored sheeps with command blocks, they are still white. Is just a visual bug, cause if you skin them, the wool drop is coloured. But the sheep still looks white.

So the entity of the mob says it's colored, but visually is not.

Is really a hard bug than 2 weeks have been past and atill not fixed?

Please, don't mark as solved, cause is not!!!!

Comment by Sarah [ 17/May/17 ]

My sheep are also still white. Moderators, do you know if our colored sheep that turned white will revert to their true color of the wool they are dropping when the bug is fixed, or should we kill them and start over dying new sheep once the bug is fixed? I also have not seen any sheep in the wild that are not white so it seems like the bug is not actually resolved yet. If this bug report was listed as resolved because it is a duplicate, will you please direct us to the appropriate bug report? All of the bugs listed in the duplicate section appear to be resolved.

Noticed the status has changed to "Resolved." I checked this morning and my colored sheep remain white. Will post screen caps later if needed.

Same on an update today, 1.0.8.1.. Very frustrating, considering the design/ color aspect of the game is the biggest draw for me.

I have the same problem, also, i get their wool coloured, but sheeps still look white ones.... Any solution?

Using windows 10 edition.

it happens since last patch, few days ago.

This has happened to me as well after the April 27, 2017 update. All sheep appear white. Do not change appearance when dyed, but will drop colored wool when sheered. Single player survival mode, Windows 10 edition

Comment by Creeperman1524 [ 06/May/17 ]

This also happened to me. I had a jeb_ sheep, and he was white, not multicolored.

Comment by Sarah [ 06/May/17 ]

This bug occurs in new Creative and Survival worlds created after the 1.0.8 update both local, single player games and multiplayer realms. Attempting to dye the sheep back to the color of wool they drop is unsuccessful.

Comment by Jason Conner [ 05/May/17 ]

I have the same problem on iOS Survival Realm 1.0.8 - no resource or texture packs.

I did not attempt to re-dye the sheep but they all appear white and they drop the correct color wool. I have a few pens with sheep of known colors so this was easily confirmed.

Comment by Kiwi [ 05/May/17 ]

Confirmed. Windows 10 Survival Realm 1.0.8 - No resource or texture packs.

Noticed all sheep on our realm were white after the update. Tried to re-dye them, dye was taken from inventory but sheep remained white. Sheared the sheep and the coloured wool was given so it is 'dyed' but still looks white.
