 Description

It appears, according to what others have found with my findings as well, the name target selector does not target non-player entities.

I'm reluctant to go switch over to the latest beta again on the Google Play Store due to all the waiting hassle (and a seemingly required reboot before it will install, or even allow me to install the beta – it's a bug in Android, at least the one I have).

Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 4
OS Version: (named Lollipop and has .1 at the end... the Desktop version is much more accessible yet very annoying that it zooms in each time, so I cannot check withour more aggrivation)

This also happens on Windows 10 Edition including latest 1.1.4.
Easy to reproduce:
1. Summon or find an entity (eg: villager)
2. Use a nametag to name the entity (eg: test)
3. Try to teleport the named entity (eg: villager named test) using @e[type=villager,name=test]
The result is "No targets matched search"
The result is the same with any entity and any name.
