Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was to place a torch on a side of a block

What actually happened was the said torch is placed on an opposite wall

1. Get 2 blocks and get a torch
2. Place 2 blocks down with a space between them
3. If you place a torch on one plane of one of the block that faces towards the 2nd block, the torch will be placed on the 2nd block instead of the block you want it to be on.

the direction the torch is placed on the plane of the blocks differs. The photos below show that on one side, the torch will be placed on a different plane, however, doing it in a different direction will actually work
