After it updated, it signed me out, refresh my settings, and my skin, and the worlds. The worlds were still there, but it keeps looking empty.

I updated using my galaxy tab s2 and the same thing occurred. Nothing shows in world list or storage, but I too used my file Explorer and they are all there. I am running marshmallow, and it'seems the 1.0.5 update.

I just got alpha 1.0.5
After the update all of my worlds in the list are gone. Profile was never changed and shows application storage. Using file explorer I verified the worlds are still in their normal location on my phone (pixel/nougat). Tried creating a new world but it does not appear in the file system. The storage location for game save data appears to have moved but existing worlds were not transferred.

Cannot Reproduce and Works as Intended
The reason why Works as intended because
If your setting storage is default to internal(external) and the saves is in external(internal) the app will search in the default storage to save then posts as none
