We solved it at my sons iPad. So he can play his local worlds again. 1. Backup the worlds through iTunes on a computer (just the "games" folder): https://www.instructables.com/id/Save-the-World-Minecraft-PE/#step2 2. Delete the app from the iPad. 3. Reinstall the app from app store. 4. Add the "Games" folder through iTunes on the computer. Overwrite the existing folder on the iPad. Done. |

Hi, today I created a Realm for my 2 boys, not realising that I had to change their xbox live account settings as they have child accounts. I updated the xbox live settings to allow them to play multiplayer games, and signed their xbox live accounts in on the Minecraft app (latest version) on their iPads. Now both iPads crash Minecraft on start-up. If I try the "airplane mode" trick I can get to the start screen but it crashes a few seconds after. I can't sign them out of xbox live. If wifi is on, the game crashes during the white "Minecraft" loading screen with the progress bar at the bottom. No matter what I do I can't get the Minecraft app to start. My kids are devastated, I wish I had never purchased the Realm, they can't even use it, but htey can't play local on their iPads anymore either. Is there a fix or a workaround for this? How can I get MInecraft to start again on iPad? |

Just want to confirm that this is happening as Sophie Evans described and LeeAnn Ziegler described. My daughter's account had parental restrictions enabled, and after turning on multiplayer play on xbox account settings, the "Global Resources Reset" issue started immediately. Steps to reproduce:
I even tried changing the settings BACK on xbox account and trying to log in - same crash! |

Sophie Evans' fix got us at least able to access my son's local world's again on our iPad, thank you. For us, this issue is quite clearly related to Xbox live account settings. Yesterday I set up a new Xbox acct for him and for myself, but I didn't have time then to edit his online privacy and security settings to allow LAN games. I came back just now to do that. He had already opened the game and was playing without issue when I logged in on my Android phone to change the settings. The page instructions say the changes take affect after logging out and in again, so I had him close it down and open again. It immediately, and for the first time ever, started crashing while trying to log in to Xbox live. He was logged in to Xbox live before I changed the privacy settings and had no issue. The first several times we tried, the game would simply disappear, but eventually we did see a "Global Resources Reset" toaster message pop down briefly before it was gone. After turning on Airplane mode he is able to load his worlds, but the game is now freezing after a few minutes of playing, and has to be forced closed. I'll be searching this issue from the Xbox live angle and see if it brings any solution. |

Do you have any custom texture packs installed? One solution may be too back up your saved game files and then reinstall Minecraft. That usually resets errors. |

SOLUTION: PROBLEM Then realized that Minecraft app wasn't updated, so installed update and started getting error message: "Global Resource Reset. A crash has been detected" Now it doesn't say that error, Says "logging into xbox live" at bottom left of play screen then crashes. I tried both logging in and out of xbox live on Chrome. |

Just happened to me now. I removed an old resource pack from the files (previously active in-game) and added a new one, and a notification popped up showing a "Global Resource Reset". |

Confirmed to affect 1.1.0.9. I've had this happen for the past several versions - since 0.16 or maybe even earlier. |

I have fixed the issue temporarily by changing my graphics settings. I am hoping the bug will be fixed eventually so I will not have to have my graphics like this permanently. In case it works for someone else as well, I right clicked my home screen and clicked NVIDIA graphics settings, then clicked manage 3-D settings. Then I tried changing the preferred graphics processor. I believe "integrated graphics" got it to work finally. But it may just depend on the computer and whatever updates it has. If you have this graphic card as well, maybe try messing with that setting too. Just make sure you know how it was previously set. |

^ I am having this issue too. Global reset then Game crash. The game can only be acessed by a data connection now. Really frustrating. |

I am having the same issue. The game loads and I can see the Mojang logo, then when the main menu appears, it gives me a message saying "Global Resources have caused this game to crash and have been reset to default settings." After that the game crashes. I can't play the game at all and reinstalling it and turning off wifi does not fix the problem either. |

Running into this issue constantly in 1.0.2. Game just disappears after starting for a few minutes. When I restart it, I see the error flash quickly and it happens again. |
