 Description

EDIT: So I see that it was marked as unable to reproduce. I do want to mention I was using color codes in the title originally, and I may have glitched the Realm or something like that. It'd be great though if someone looked into it with color codes in the Realm title.

I cannot change my Realm's name. Anytime I change it, I click "x" and it will not save my changes. This may be because I have colors codes in my Realm's name, but I don't think that's what is causing this bug. I've seen this since 0.16.0, but is still in 1.0. This bug exists on both Windows 10, and iOS (I assume Android too).

Edit by kaleb418:
Any text that uses the '§' symbol in it cannot be changed after the initial edit.

1.20 still can't set colorful realm name. Steps to reproduce: 1) create realm

2) go to settings

3) set name "§2{text}

4) quit and you see that name didn't save.

Ok everyone found a way to bypass the glitch! Just rename your club and it renames your realms too!

Omg this is the same thing that's happened to me ): just got my realms and I used colorcodes in the beginning and now when I try to change it it's not updating and it undid the color codes at the start): very dissatisfied! I might try the close realms but I don't think that will work. PLEASE HELP or at least gimme like a new realm!

Me either, I attempted to do the formatting codes for the Realm name, and it defaulted to the previous name AND locked the realm name. This is frustrating, knowing that I am paying for this, and there is nothing I can do to fix it. I created my own separate issue related to, but regarding the fact that now you cannot even change the Realm name to any name with "§" in it.

Just tried it, color codes didn’t even work at all when choosing the name of my Realm. Not sure if this is intentional.

Does this still affect the latest version? If so, please reply.

I can confirm that this is still happening on 1.1.5

Can anyone confirm if this is still broken in 1.1.4? I don't want to use my Realm to test it.

I have the same issue as JoePCool14 and happened as well as how Ruben Craveiro said. My realm expired and I reopened and set a name with color and now I cant change it.

Thanks for reopening my original issue instead of the duplicate.

Reopened - I can reproduce in MCPE 1.0.3.

Comment by JoePCool14 [ 22/Dec/16 ]

Asking to be reopened because the bug is still present for me. I edited the OP with more information.

I can confirm this issue for 0.16.x, but am unable to reproduce it in 1.0 due to a bug with my realms not being accessible.
