This happens to me since 0.16 or maybe 0.15, and still on 1.0.x. [Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus]

This is also very common here on iPad Pro v1.0-1.02. Both (load delay and shuddering) happen frequently when flying in creative. It's an old map converted to infinite

Whenever walking into an unrendered chunk, the foreground items vibrate and all rendered chunks vanish until I move back into a previously rendered chunk.
