Here is a simple resource pack that I made that fixes this issue, I made a separate texture file for experience bar to make sure nothing will break (for example loading screen) and redesigned it to be perfectly symmetrical (in a better way than the old texture) while still using a new texture of it that was added in 0.16.0, also I redesigned horse jump bar to be consistent with the new experience bar texture.

luojin573281 It is parity thing, nobody ever said that developers can't change texture in the game, Java XP bar texture looks silly and is literally the ugliest texture in the game after OG gravel, it's completely unfitting and looks like it was taken from a different game, before texture update it was ok because game didn't have any specific style at the time, but now it does, and Bedrock XP bar follows it and perfectly fits in the game, and instead of using random noise and ugly gradient it actually has pattern and uses limited color palette which matches game art style, and makes it match other HUD elements for example hearts, the only thing that is wrong with Bedrock's XP bar is that it's asymmetrical which easily can be fixed, and once that will be fixed it should be added to Java and horse jump bar also should be changed to match new texture, obviously this change is intended, it's impossible to accidentally draw perfect texture an overlay for it and make game use it by changing HUD code a little bit, thinking that this is actually a bug and Java XP bar is better (which is not) is just silly,

Never work as intended. It hampers texture development work. Cumbersome and bad! If you've looked at its composition, will know that the developers misunderstood the XP bar

It's not parity, as it used to be correct in 0.14.3
Is 0.15.1 also correct? I forgot

This experience bar texture is better than java one, and should be added to java edition as well, because this texture looks nicer and fits game art style, unlike java edition one which is harsh that uses gradient mixed with noise. It's indented to look like that and shouldn't be removed, this is a good texture that was added in 0.16.0 and is one of the most iconic bedrock edition features in my opinion. This should be marked as "Works as intended"

This would be nice to have changed so it matches the texture used when jumping with a horse. Currently the transition looks strange between the textures

Comment by Zeta [ 12/May/21 ]

This has been a thing for far too long, iirc it might have been back in 0.16 when it was introduced. I thought it was 1.1/1.2 s that was when I first encountered it but this issue is older than that.

An interesting thing to note is that the horse jump charge bar (that replaces your experience bar when you are riding a horse) has the correct XP bar texture, but with different colors obviously.

Could some mod please reopening this issue for having a properly fix if possible?

Comment by PC_Screen [ 18/Jul/18 ]

I disagree. The xp bar does change the feel of the game. I believe it's not a dificult thing to change as mcpe used to have the pc texture unitl 0.16

Comment by Jeffrey [ 08/Jul/18 ]

Fixing the texture doesn't affect anything. Even if it's different from java, no player would actually look at the xp bar all the time so there's no point in fixing it. It doesn't affect the xp obtained by the player or the xp decreased when the player dies or enchants tools.

Please reopened this issue.
This still in the game and is texture bug and need to be fixed

Comment by Shivank Khanna [ 26/May/17 ]

while xp bar is full with a level it looks way more clear and neat as compared to the java version as seen in the above picture, but when its empty it gives a dark texture which needs to be fixed !

I honestly think it's WAI. It might be a bug , but it might be WAI.

Added screenshot comparing the xp bar to Java.

Notice the final section is too short in MCPE.
