 Description

Sand and gravel are dropped when landed on pistons (both types), glass, ice, leaves (all types) and stairs (all types). This should not happen because in Minecraft pc this does not occur because items such as torch, pressure plate, chest among others is for this to happen naturally the opposite of the first items quoted.
This bug affects not only the piston but other items that normally should not happen such a bug.
Samsung Galaxy Tab E SM-T560

Concrete power has the same issue for: glass, ice, leaves and stairs

Falling Blocks breaking on Pistons is Fixed in 1.2.0.25.

For the issues where falling blocks break on other blocks, please refer to MCPE-20109

Finally my dragon egg randomizer that i copied from Panda4994 will be resetable without having to place the dragon egg again. But I'll have to wait for 1.1 to come out for iOS..

also in north and west piston in the picture still affected when I activate it

Fixed for both types of pistons in 1.1.0.0.

Glass, ice, leaves, and stairs are still affected in 1.1.0.0

Why the developers can't fix this bug? This bug makes the game boring.

Comment by [MCPE Helper] Aspergerian [ 18/Mar/17 ]

So just to make sure this is correct, the following blocks;

-Sand
-Red Sand
-Gravel
-Anvil (all 3 types)
-Dragon Egg

are broken when landing on pistons, sticky pistons, and all of the other blocks mentioned from an earlier comment by Marek.

If that's true, then the title should be revised as other blocks are affected as well.

However this version 1.0.5.3 was released for android as a beta on the 15th containing this bug.

Please do not mark unreleased versions as affected.
You don't have access to them yet.

the piston with the sand above destroys the sand. The piston without sand above falls the sand.

Mark/ can you demonstrate?

Comment by Mark Aranzanso [ 15/Mar/17 ]

i think it only happens when you place a piston on the east direction. It's working fine on the west direction. Still affects 1.0.5 build 2

Comment by CSpider [ 10/Mar/17 ]

Still affects in 1.0.4.11 (1.0.4 full version)

Comment by Jarrr [ 06/Mar/17 ]

This also affects Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition 1.0.3

Comment by JohnWildTamer [ 05/Mar/17 ]

Still effect 1.0.4.1

Confirmed on Motorola Moto E

Just checked most of the blocks and affected are: all wooden gates, all fences, all doors, both trapdoors, both cobblestone walls, redstone comparator, repeater, redstone torch, redstone sand, pistons in all positions, all stairs, all slabs, all chests, all heads, all carts (except for the one with hopper), daylight sensor, all rails, all flowers, all saplings, buttons, lever, all pressure plates, enchantment table, brewing stand, all carpets, both mushrooms (small ones of course), end portal, dragon egg, dead bush, lily pad, glass, glass pane, iron bars, bed, flower pot, cactus, bamboo, lader, torches, all tree leaves, ice (strangely packed ice not) and of course cake version 1.0.0.16 on Android 6.0 I do understand that some of them are better this way... Like item frame or trip wire (too)

Comment by Krissi Hall [ 08/Jan/17 ]

This happens on my iPad Air (iOS 10.2) in v1.0.1 as several things I have built that pushed sand/gravel up and then goes back down.

Comment by Greg [ 28/Dec/16 ]

I am having the same problem in my Pocket Edition in my Realm. I have a gate that pistons push the gravel up to open the gate then the gravel is suppose to fall back down into position but then breaks. Everything worked fine until the latest upgrade.

I used to have this problem in 0.16.0 but I just tested it with a regular and sticky piston using red and regular sand. The upper most block of regular sand becomes invisible after it falls and doesn't become visible until It's updated. Red sand works normally.

However, sand that falls to the side of a piston is destroyed. This happened in both combinations of red/reg sand and sticky/reg pistons.

So just place some blocks on a piston and try placing a gravity affected block on It's side. If it breaks after landing next to the piston, then this looks like a bug.

Ran this with mcpe 0.16.2 in wm10 on a 950.
