| Description |

I've connected my PlayStation4 controller to the game. I've also edited the controller layout. But whenever I try to punch or place a block (R2 button), the game starts to rotate somehow, the longer I click at the destroying button, the faster the game rotates. My device: LG Zero/Class H650E Issue also occurs with Xbox controllers |

I just discovered the problem today: my son can't play with the controller; how could this be still unsolved? Anyone managed to work this around changing command mappings? |

Can confirm that it is still a problem. I just had this same issue today on the newest version. It was even a fresh install of Minecraft on my tablet. |

I have the same problem. I watched some info in webpages, and videos, that says PS5 dualstock controller works in Android for Minecraft; but noooo, its wrong, dont work. I bought the controller only for this |

I've been having this issue as well. I'm using a wired Xbox one controller with my new Samsung. As soon as I pull the trigger the pc drifts all the way up and starts spinning without stopping, and now it won't even work with the touch controls anymore. But the controls work fine in the menus? Makes the game unplayable |

Also occurs on iOS, so it can’t just be on Android’s side. In my experience, changing the button mapping either fixes nothing or makes the drift worse. The issue is supposedly due to the deadzone on mobile being set to 0, whereas it’s usually around 60, so, if that’s correct, to fix it either the devs would have to set the deadzone higher or you’d have to change the mapping to not use the sticks at all, which isn’t possible. This has been reported for well over a year now and has never been resolved and seems to be a very common issue. |

Is there a way to clear-out all the button-mapping so I could to re-map the button by avoiding the L2/R2?
Even by editing a text file from File-explorer app will be fine |

I have this issue with a third-party Xbox controller connected to a Samsung phone. Every time I press LT or RT, the camera spins uncontrollably and will continue to do so even if I disconnect the controller and restart the world. This issue only goes away if I restart Minecraft. Another thing to note is that an old Logitech controller meant for use on a PC works fine with no issues. I have attached a video of this bug in action to this report. I think this bug affects me, too. I tried to pair my PS4 controller with a Moto E4 running Android 7.1.1[NPQS26.69-64-23], and my character would only-and-always look directly up at the sky. I could temporarily make him look level by touching the screen, but he'd always be trying to look up. If you decide to close this as being Android's fault, would you mind linking the associated upstream bug? https://issuetracker.google.com/issues?q=componentid:190923 |

Are you saying that the issue is on the Android OS side, not on the MCPE software side? |

This issue is on all Android phones expect for Sony Phones. Controller works in Sony smartphones but not with other because android wasnt a Default Gamepad for a PS4 controller. Xbox has an default gamepad programmed for all smartphones. Hope you understand this. |

I am currently using my Dual Shock 4 controller and I can not look around with the Joysticks. I tried using the touch screen but that just glitches and make my character look up. It is very aggravating because I have restart the whole app. I would like to use my controller to play Minecraft Pocket Edition with my controller. |
