Actually, the wiki in question, www.minecraftwiki.net, says, quite clearly and most emphatically that armor does, indeed, take damage from both those things, though only in the Pocket Edition. Armor in Minecraft proper previously could, also, take damage from these sources, until around the Adventure Update. Why this change is not reflected in Minecraft's mobile version, I cannot say, and whether it will be changed is aslo something on which I cannot comment. |

I'm back, and @Jeremy Beach, I have tested it just today. Yes, drowning too reduces durability. @Sam Villano,the Wiki clearly states that armour CANNOT take damage from drowning or fall damage. |

Not a bug, armor negates ALL forms of damage(As it used to in the PC version of the game), e.g. falling, drowning, lacerations, incinerations defenestrations, etc. Thus, armor will lose durability from any damage taken by the player. |
