 Description

when you try to open the app it just sits on the mojang screen and does nothing so you have to close the app and try again and it can take you about 20 tries before you can go to the main menu and then when you open a world/ start creating one it doesn't show the green loading bar and takes about twice as long to go into the game and once you are in the game if you put the device to sleep the game freezes and you have to go back to the start (by back to the start i mean that you have to close the app and try again but your world will still be saved)

I have some more info about this bug, I have quite slow Internet at my house and my friend has fast Internet and it happens at my house but not his, it also happens at my school which has fast Internet but minecraft.net and mojang.com are both blocked which leads me to think that it is caused by minecraft PE try's to constantly connect to one of these sites which would mean it could be fixed by simply making it only trying to connect to it once (probably on app start up)

Hey Johan,
I have been experiencing the same problems on my iPod. I used to own an iPod touch 4G, and now I own the 5G. Both were running iOS 6.1.2, with Minecraft PE 0.5.0 - 0.6.1 and yet at the different times of owning them, they still had the same problem. Currently with my iPod 5G I have to turn it on airplane mode and then load the map, then switch it back on, just to play. Over wifi or just by muself.

The strange part is, it's only my home wifi. At my friends house it would connect and run very nicely. I even recently got my wifi router updated to a very nice one with great Internet speeds.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but its been bugging me for a while. Even my mom and brothers iPods are doing the same thing. All on our home wifi. If this could be fixed, that would be really nice. Thanks!

Hey Johan, i have reported 1 1/2 months an issue related to this that was killing my iPod Touch 4g, about that the game crashes with no reason while playing, and this issue was marked as invalid

I think this isn“t a issue, this could be more technical problem, because sometimes when an user update his/her iOS to the latest version, and when you enter to some apps, many of them could crash instantly when you enter and keeps crashing. I was experimenting like that in my iPod Touch 4g in Minecraft Pocket Edition, sometimes it crashes the game with no reason, while playing.

But in my iPod Touch 5g is working perfectly without any problem or issue related to this.

It will happen if you are connected to a very slow or unresponsive wifi.

I didn't get this on my old iPad (an iPad 2) although back then I didn't have wifi at home. My sister is also having this problem and she has an iPad 2. We are running iOS 6.1.2 but it has been happening in iOS 6.1 and 6.0
Hope I helped
Btw thanks for reopening this Johan you are the best!

There has been some reports on this, possibly realted to beeing connected to wifi. Could more people with iPad 4 please try to confirm this and please also post the iOS version you are running.

I have figured out why this happens! It will only happen when I am connected to the Internet! Except this is closed so it won't be fixed

Yes I have at least 3 GB left please Mojang I know at least five people who have this problem!
