 Description

I know your support for windows mobile hasn't been really great so far, but I still wanted to create a bug report.

What I did,
I downloaded a mcpack, and a mcworld file and was trying to import them when tapping on them in the file explorer.

What I expected,
Minecraft PE should open and should load the mcpack

What happened,
Just a message popped up that I should search in the store for an application for this file extension.

Theory,
The file extensions mcpack and mcworld aren't assigned to minecraft pe on windows phone.

Device: Lumia 640 XL DS, 650, 920, 720. Everywhere the same problem.

Is this still happening? Windows Phone 8.1 is officially discontinued as of 1.0 by the way.

Having this issue on my 950 with 0.16.2.

The problem is that these files, which are just renamed zips..., are not associated with Minecraft. I've tried uri voodoo as well as using edgetile to give them their own shortcut in an attempt to tryout the android cludge. Nothings worked... And I've spent hours trying to cook up a work around... So I'm done poking it. Minecraft just wont eat em.

So can someone finally update this to "confirmed"?

Oh... And extract it to where? All of mcpe' files are annoyingly hidden in a uwp file... I already tried making an override directory... Nopers. But if any one does have a real wm10 work around, post a link to the forum.

In MCPE-17560 they say it works when removing the 1st dot (so there is only example.mcworld instead of example.1234.mcworld), this trick fixed it on my Android tab, but didn't work on Windows Phone...

I have a lumia 950, and when I download the add-on they come up as zip files. I click on the zip file and nothing happens. On the phone there is no access to the minecraft folders, so I cannot add the zip files to the resource folders. This whole process seems very confusing. Why am I having so much trouble getting this to work?

As a work around, changethe extension from ,mcworld to .zip and then extract it.

Same on Android, I get "Unable to find application to open file"
